Solution Q Committed to Social Responsibility

Solution Q has committed to the donation of the Eclipse Project Portfolio Management (PPM) software solution to qualifying charitable organizations.

November 1, 2007 – Solution Q announces corporate commitment to give back to the community. Solution Q has committed to the donation of the Eclipse Project Portfolio Management (PPM) software solution to qualifying charitable organizations. Community Living Toronto is the first company to begin using Eclipse PPM under this new initiative. Eclipse PPM is Solution Q’s advanced project portfolio and project management solution built to address the complex project and portfolio requirements facing organizations today. As part of this initiative, Solution Q is committed to exposing all employees to the worthwhile work that these charitable organizations are involved in. To that end, Solution Q is allowing employees to use business hours each quarter to conduct volunteer work with these organizations.

Craig MacInnis, VP Business Development of Solution Q says, “We are pleased to be in a position to donate software and employee time to the benefit of some excellent charitable organizations. Working with Community Living Toronto is the first in what will be a long list of organizations that we will commit to assisting over the next several years.”

Solution Q is working with many organizations to align their initiatives with business strategy, while ensuring projects are delivered on-time and on-budget. Eclipse PPM provides real-time visibility, accountability and a single location for all project and portfolio information. Eclipse PPM is known for its easy implementation, navigation and functionality.

For almost 60 years Community Living Toronto has supported people with intellectual disabilities at different stages of their lives. In order to help them reach their goals more effectively, Community Living is launching Eclipse PPM in their Information Systems and Client Services department with a possible rollout to the entire company once their processes are established. They chose Eclipse PPM to provide consistency and standardization for their project intake, prioritization and tracking processes. Community Living Toronto is looking forward to having real-time visibility into their entire portfolio of projects.

Solution Q’s commitment to giving back to their local community doesn’t stop there. They have started a new Employee Volunteer Program where Solution Q encourages each employee to go out in the community for a day and get involved in a charity they are passionate about. It will give employees a chance to get involved in activities they other wise might not be able to do on their own time and another reason to be proud of being part of a company that takes an interest in their community.
